Hi,
I am trying to get my Wifi Card working on my (Lenovo 3000 G410 2049-55Q) under FreeBSD. The pciconf returns the name of the WiFi card as "Broadcom Dell 1390 Mini-PCI card". I tried using ndisulator for installing the drivers. The ndis0 interface turns up after installing. But I am unable to do a ifconfig up scan. I have tried many options with ndis but I am not sure if I have the correct drivers.
I got the best results (ndis0 shows up. but not able to use) by using an HP driver. bcmwl5.inf and .sys.
http://www.fjall.org/d505/wlan/The CD which came along with the Laptop (G400/G410) does not have a broadcom driver for wireless. It has Intel and Gemtek. my questions are the following.
1) Which is the correct driver I should look for? (Intel/Gemtek/Broadcom?)
Where can I download the same.
If anyone has got the card working under Linux or BSD I would be interested to hear about the same.
Thanks,
Sreejith
I can post the entire dmesg and pciconf etc if anyone is interested.
