G450 - Unknown Device & Network Controller in the Device Manager

Question

The device manager is showing 2 exclamation mark despite installing all the drivers available on the Lenovo Support page.

Answer

  1. Boot into safe mode
  2. Uninstall Lenovo Energy Management and the ethernet driver
  3. Reboot into laptop and boot into Windows normally
  4. Install ethernet driver then reboot
  5. Install Lenovo Energy Management then reboot
  6. Check device manager.
