Dear All
I have bought a Lenovo G460 about a month a go. I have set it on High Performance power plan through Lenovo energy managment.
When ever the system goes to sleep in balanced power plan, after i try to being it to wake the screen stays blank, though hard disk keeps running and all other lights come up. So i put it on performance mode, which only switches off the display. But even then the same problem remains.
System Config
Processor: iCore 3 2.16 GHz
Video: NVidia 310M
Ram: 4 GB
OS: Win 7 HP 64 bit
Nvidia Driver Version: 188.88
Tried with NVidia latest drivers(256.88) but the problem remains. Tried bios update yesterday and update was very successful but still the problem remains.
Thanks
For all your help

Hi,
I am also facing the same problem. My laptop configuration is also same.
I read on some website that it could be Window 7 problem.
I am not sure if they have any sleep key configured in keyboard. If it is not, we need to do the same by using microsoft help.
Thanks

I dont think it is a Windows 7 issue. I have used a lot of different Win 7 laptops, like the one I get from work, and it does revive fine. I think this issue is related to some driver and may be the video driver may be the culprit. Or atmost may be the wireless driver.

I searched the forum a lot. I got two solutions
1. Update the bios - done and did not help
2. Disable power saving feature for the wireless controler - still to test
Will update after 20 min what is the status of the solution.
Thanks

Okay the second option worked atleast for now. Lets see what happens if I leave it for sleep in balanced overnight.
Thanks

Okay guys taking the wireless controler out of the hands of the power managment system really helped a lot.
Going back to Balanced power settings for good.
Thanks
