G470 - Game lag when playing when laptop is on battery mode.

Question

The game runs smoothly when the G470 is connected to the AC. However the lag occurs when the AC is removed / switched off.

Answer

 

  1. Right click and select "Catalyst Control Center"
  2. Click on "Graphics" on the upper left side of the screen and select "PowerPlay" in the drop down menu.
  3. In PowerPlay, there is an option for battery. Change it to "Maximize Performance".
  4. Press Ok to save the settings
