hi
I did install hwmonitor_1.18-setup.exe
but the fans RPM are not gathered
I suspect this is a BIOS restriction
I think there is a bug on some sensor : TZ00 report 0C
Are there any G740 owners who can check if hwmonitor also report temp=0 ?
anyway the fan seems to run slower than on linux but I dont think it ever stop ...
If it maters I made a screenshot at :
Can we hope a BIOS release that monitor fans speed and fix other ACPI glitches reported by fwts :
FAIL: pciresource thermal_trip cpufreq dmi

hi
where did you get this "4328-2CY" number ? tell also your BIOS version ? do you run gnu/linux too ?
I think about creating an other thread specific to this "TZ00 bug" , or may the admin do that
looks that it is also affecting others see screenshots at :

hi
my BIOS is 40CN23WW(V2.09) 06/20/2011 and i'm running Ubuntu 10.11.
the $sensors throws me this:
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +0.0°C (crit = +127.0°C)
and nothing else... Do you know any program that can control the temp. and fan speed?
