On G530 4446-23U laptop, after removing some programs with "Revo Uninstaller Pro" my sound stopped working. I assume some of the drivers and/or registry entires were removed when removing other programs.
I uninstalled the drivers Conexant High Definition Smart Audio 221 and Intel(R) High Definition Audio HDMI and reinstalled them. Again, no sound. Under device manager, it is telling me "This device is working properly" for both devices.
Please help me out.

This didn't resolve the issue, I downloaded the program but could not open it. Must be for the same reason that I can't run windows update even though I am on admin account with full access.

try to remove the touchpad drivers, restart your computer and install it again.
also make sure function keys working, if not, re-install power management.
still not working? it's getting worse.
try to perform clean windows installation by pressing one key recover.
( before that, just in case, burn recovery discs )

When I tried to reinstall teh touchpad drivers, after uninstall and restart, its telling me can't install driver because:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (code 19) Click check for asolutions to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
So now I will go ahead with One Touch Recovery, but where do I download this s/w from? It tidn't come with my laptop (G530 4446-23U).

shut down your computer and press one key recover button ( see user manual for further information )
just in case, if you need drivers, you can download them from here.
