G550 Bios Update Fail

Hi, no I can't. When I push the power button, led lights are on, dvdrom turns for a while and that is all. The screen stays black. Looks like a dead machine.

remove the battery, un-plug the ac power, press power button for 30-40 seconds, replace the battery and check if it works.

do you see lenovo logo at start-up?

no nothing happened. the screen stays black

do you have valid warranty?

Yes, I do, I have already spoke to a Service Center, it looks like it is necessary to send it them to repair it I'd be glader if I could do it on my own, but they will repair it. I hope.

there're ways to recovery bios but when you have valid warranty, it'd be easy to ship it back to service.

Yeah, I was made some tries but didn't succeed. So I am sending it to the service, until it is under warranty Thanx for help anyway

Hi, I did a BIOS update on my Lenovo G550 laptop and now it won't boot up at all.  It comes on, you can hear the fan, but just get a black screen.  I spoke to a guy who fixes laptops and he said something about taking it apart and doing something with the battery/ CMOS.

I have taken the back off but really don't have a clue about what to look for or what to do next.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
