G550 Battery problems

Hi,

I'm replacing my original battery and bought a new one off of ebay.

It came fully charged but my notebook won't show that it's charging (with the A/C plug icon in the system tray) but it's using the battery's power well.

Any suggestions?  I think my G550 is the 2958 FDU model.

Is the battery a original Lenovo?
Or a "equivalent" third party battery?

Some of the aftermarket one are problematic,
and show "not charging".

It is a 3rd party battery.  I had no idea that it made any difference.

I had the exact same problem with a aftermarket one.

There are some good ones I think, it is just hard
to tell which ones are good on eBay.
