G550 not recognizing USB mouse

Hello, my G550 does not recognize my USB optic mouse. Always when I connect my mouse the windows says USB device not recognized and when it is connected when I am turning on my laptop, only black screen appears and it will not turn on even if i disconnect the mouse. The mouse works on another laptop and so another mouse works on mine. What can I try to do to make it work on my laptop? Thanks for answers.

try to use another usb port for your device. the usb port you are trying to use may be broken.

the port is ok another mouse works fine, i just wonder why that one is not if it works on another laptop...

could be "not compatible" issue, i'm not sure.

the mouse worked fine before so it should be compatible
