G550 touchpad

When I try to select something and by holding the finger come to the touchpad edge it won't continue scrolling. I have alps driver, but please don't tell me that this laptop doesn't have that function. What shall I do?

Please Enable the Scrolling option from the alps driver

Righ click on the alps icon-->Mouse Prop-->Gestuers---> Mark the ''use Scroll function''

I have the G550 also, bought it new about 9 months ago, and I am having many of the same problems with the touchpad. It seems to have a mind of its own at times. Right now however, my problem is the scrolling feature. It just stops working, and none of the suggestions I have read thusfar in these forums has resolved the issue. I have enabled scrolling, updated drivers, reinstalled the hardware... FYI, I am running Windows 7 -32 bit.

 Any other suggestions?
