G780 Bluetooth Not Detected

Thanks, but per my original post, there are no bluetooth drivers to uninstall.  Nothing is detected or shown in device manager for bluetooth, not even an unknown device.  Yet, FN+F5 shows that bluetooth is turned on.

The only thing I can do is uninstall/reinstall wifi drivers, but that doesn't help anything on the bluetooth side.

Go to the device manager and then to View and select show hidden devices and see if the BlueTooth card shows up. If that still does nothing, start an elevated command prompt and type in driverquery >drivers.txt and hit enter. Then type in drivers.txt and copy the log and then paste it up here.

you didn't mention that if you activate the bluetooth by clicking on/off button when you see the wireless management window by pressing fn + f5. please, confirm. (turn off the bt, then turn again again) then check bluetooth settings.

If you're talking about the on/off button in the fnf5 window, then yes, that was the first thing I tried. It does nothing.

Those two drivers are installed with all windows installations, I believe.  I checked another computer with no bluetooth hardware, and it had these drivers as well.

I used my iphone to scan for bluetooth devices and it finds nothing.  And there are no bluetooth scanning options on the computer side since there are no drivers installed, since there's nothing in device manager to install drivers for.

Tried it and it said "No unconfigured bluetooth devices found."

Been doing some digging into the technology in the combined device. Broadcom has an update for your device here, http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

Don't know if it will make a difference.
