How do I enable Intel VT-x on my 3000 C200 [ Edited ]

Hi,

I have been trying to enable Intel Virtualization Technology on my laptop for ages. It is a 3000 C200 8922-5YG with a T2080 processor, the processor supports VT-x but SecurAble says that it is locked off. I have been using symcmos to attempt at enabling it, but have failed miserably every time. Here is the verbose log from symcmos.

you need bios update or to enable in under bios.

I have updated the bios to the latest version and there is no option to enable it in the bios, thanks for trying but I have tried that already. I need to know which value to change from the symcmos log.

i don't suggest to change any strings if you don't know what you're doing ( to change the strings, you must have enough knowledge about it )

changing strings with some applications ( hacking bios ) may void your warranty.

we don't have a plan to release a bios to support intel vt on these c200/n100. intel vt running need require all support from his cpu, the chipset, bios, virtual machine monitor (vmm) software.
and, we don't suggest customer to try to active it by themselves because it may damage their system if some parameter is not set right.

Hi! I have a 3000 C200 8922 2ES with 4GB RAM and T5600 CPU, with the BIOS 63af08us.exe v3.12 you have to active the position (0321) [0001]. I have the TV enabled from 5/17/2009 without any problem from having the VT enabled, I have used as OS Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bits), Windows 2008 R2 and Ubuntu 9.04, 9.10, 10.04 (64 bits) with VMware Workstation and SUN VirtualBOX running a lot of 64 bits OS as guest. If you active this flag you have to power off your laptop to enable the VT in the CPU, also if after this you enter the BIOS and modified anything and save this modification probably you will lose the VT enabled.
