LENOVO y500 3000 laptop and Virtual Box or VM installation

Hi, I am using Lenovo Y500 laptop ( 1GB DDR RAM (upgrading it to 2GB)  and 80 GB hard -disk) and currently using Microsoft VISTA . I tried to install ubuntu and fedora ( LINUX) on my laptop. BUT the keyboard, mouse and wifi freezes after I had installed it.

So I want to know if I install VIRTUAL BOX VM on my laptop , can I run UBUNTU or any kind of LINUX ? Please let me know. THANKS!!!

you can run it but you need to install some drivers manually. and that's why, they didn't work on your computer properly. for more information, please, see linux board.
