Latest Nvidia Driver for G560 does not install! [ Edited ]

Hi,

i've tried to install the latest nvidia driver for my G560. But it seems like the only driver working on this system is the preinstalled driver from Lenovo.

I always get the message that the driver can't find the required hardware. I've downloaded the correct (Win 7 64 Bit) and latest driver from Nvidias webpage. I've even tried some older drivers from the drivers archive.

Does anybody have a clue how I can solve my problem?

The latest driver from Nvidia's site, Does the download say laptop? I used to get that alot with an old HP until I realized I was downloading the desktop driver and not the laptop driver. Just a tip.

I've downloaded this driver for my Nvidia Geforce 310M:  http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_197.16_whql.html

I think that should be the correct one.

It does look like the correct driver. But I noticed this "Note: The following notebooks are not supported in this release: 1. Notebooks supporting Hybrid Power with Intel chipsets. 2. Fujitsu notebooks – support will be added in a later release. Fujitsu Siemens (FSC) notebooks are supported in this release. 3. Sony VAIO notebooks – support will be added in a later release. Sony VAIO Windows 7 users can click here for driver update support. 4. Any notebook that is launched after the release date of this driver. " Does anyone know if this laptop has Hybrid Power? Also here is a good tip/recommended from ATI. "Advisory: The display driver supplied by the laptop manufacturer is customized for the built-in flat panel display, and the graphics features and functions specific to the laptop. It is strongly recommended to use the supplied drivers. If installing a different operating system other than the one included with the laptop, the laptop may not meet all the requirements, and supported drivers may not be available. The laptop manufacturer is the exclusive provider of driver updates. If the required driver update is not available at the laptop manufacturers’ website, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer directly, to see if an updated driver will be made available in the future."

On the other hand the Drivers I saw from Lenovo were from Feb. Which are not that old. I've just installed a new Bios that i've downloaded from here:

The installation of new Nvidia drivers now works fine!

Didn't you got the error at the time of bios update and your nvidia Driver get install properly?now your display is ok?

i have also g560 but cant install the nvidia driver (getting same message as in your case) also one key theater.is there any way to  there any way to get install nvidia driver on my lenovo g560 without updating the bios?

To repeat the warning:

DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR G560 BIOS TO VERSION 25 !!!  IT MAY CRASH YOUR LAPTOP !!!

What warning are you referring to? Please provide a link.

Or if this is just a problem with your G560 BIOS upgrade (others appear to have succeeded)? Please post more detail so the members can help you. What happened during the upgrade? What happens when your laptop crashes?

i have suffered by this update the setup say error message cannot write and exit.any way now i never try to update bios and also in my g560 i think nvidia display is not present also one key theater not running properly even display show faded image.hopefully in india lenovo sell scrap only.i dont have only one problem i have tooooooooooooooooooooo much of problems with this laptop.can you please explain my laptop support nvidia and one key theater?
