Lenovo 3000 N200 0769-BMG - Cuts out just before Windows Logon Screen

Was wondering if someone can guide me with a strange problem I am getting.

My laptop seem to cut out just before the Windows logon screen appears. However, once I pause the boot process in BIOS for about 10minutes and then resume the boot process its boots up no problem.

In other words the laptop crashes when booting up from a cold state but once it is warmed up there is no issue.

I have dealt with laptops crashing when heating up but not when cold.

I am running Windows 7 64bit. Any help/advice on this issue will be much appreciated.

press f8 to load "last known good configuration" first.
also, i suggest you to check the cmos battery. you may need to replace it.

Last know food configuration will not affect it as I have reinstalled the system to see if it will resolve the issue. Regarding the CMOS battery I will try this and post the results. Thanks for the reply.

Have you by chance updated the Bios?

There was a problem with the Bios update that caused your symptoms.

If you reset the Bios to default and Save it may cure problem!
