Lenovo 3000 N200 fails to boot after sudden shut off

Hi,

I have a problem with my Lenovo 3000 N200 bought in 2008. It suddenly shut off. I checked the AC adaptor and I found it was dead, the battery too gives no sign of life. I bought a new AC adaptor but with no luck, laptop does not start. I cleaned the fan and the RAMs but the problem persists. I am scared that something crucial happened all of a sudden. Please help me.

try this trick : remove the battery and un-plug the ac power, press power button for 30-40 minutes then plug the ac adapter and check if it works.

You are leaving the bad battery out, yes?

Yes, it didn't work even without the battery and Ac adaptor plugged.

try to remove ram sticks, then start-up your computer.
if you don't hear any "beep", your mainboard is dead.
