Lenovo B570 touch pad stops working while battery is charging.

The touchpad stops working while battering is charging, and the laptop is flat on my desk. If I placed the laptop on my lap while charging, the touchpad works slowly, and sometimes does not work at all.

I installed the Power Manager 3.62(I was not able to download the most recent version) and the mouse started working again(a little bit sluggish tough). But the Power Manager shows no battery installed.
