Lenovo B570 will not power on with battery

My Lenovo B570 is only 3 months old and it abruptly stopped powering on with just the battery (without attaching the power cord).  It works fine if the AC power cord is connected.  I tried removing the battery rebooting and reinstalling the batttery but that did not make a difference.  Also the power icon in the system tray shows the battery being "stuck" at 73% charged.  Any suggestions?  3months seems like a very short time for a battery to stop working.

Hi shyamsl and welcome to the community,

 

Try opening Energy Management and doing a battery reset.  See if the reset runs.
