Lenovo B570 wont connect to wireless netowork.

For christmas me and my brother both recieved a lenovo B570

I have been running my internet on an ethernet cable due to the wifi breaking a couple of months previous, but my brother has been using his wifi connection, until today when it wouldn't connect at all. The wifi will connect with the desktop in the house and has previously been fine on the laptop

Any help is appreciated, but i must stress me and my brother are not very technical so we may struggle to understand the techinal terms (in other words probably best to explain like you were talking to a child)

The first thing to check is whether the wireless switch is turned on.

On the front, to the right of center is the switch.
