We just bought lenovo G450 laptop just last week. The CD driver that includes in the package is Windows Vista. Since we don't want to use Windows Vista, we decided to isntall Windows XP Pro with service pack 2. We also downloaded all the drivers that we found in lenovo web site. he time we install the NVIDIA Display driver there is an error saying "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Set up will now exit." What are those thing we need to download? We already follow the instruction to install first the MS .Net framework 3.5 but same error we encounter.
Another this is, after installing all the drivers audio, intel graphics accelerator, card reader, bluetooth, etc. we got a problem in shuting down the laptop. Every time we reset or shut down the laptop it keeps on displaying on the screen Shutting Down but after a few minutes or an hour it didn't turn off. We need to press the Start button for a few seconds to shut it down.
Please help... we need to fix this badly

Sir, i just want to ask some clarification if this Lenovo G450 with a model number 20022 has other video card installed aside from the onboard Intel graphics display? and since there is an NVIDIA display driver in the lenovo web site, what is the purpose of that if this Lenovo G450 can not adopt that display driver?
One of my friend told me that this lenovo g450 has only onboard intel graphics display and there is no NVIDIA or other video card on it. is it true?

if you don't have nvidia graphic device, you can not install nvidia drivers.
please check device manager ( right click my computer > manage > device manager > graphic adapters ) for your graphic adapters. if you have intel graphic adapter, stop trying to install nvidia, install intel graphic adapters from g450 download page.
it seems your shutting down issue is not installing the correct drivers for your system.
and please check any unknown device on device management.

go back to the store where you bought the laptop, I had the same problem. If you want to make the performance better, try to install Windows vista first then upgrade into Windows 7, I'm happy using windows right now, got no problems about it even though I'm using counterfeited copy...
