Hope u can help me on this one..
I have an Lenovo G460 laptop with 2GB PC3 - 8500 DDR3 SODIMM 204pin memory,500 GB HDD, i3 - 370 Proxcessor and running Windows 7 Home Pro 64 Bit (Original Specfication as I bought from Lenovo)
However since I've upgraded my memory from 2GB to 8GB ( I replaced them by 2 4GB PC3 - 8500 DDR3 SODIMM 204pin memory), my computer has become very slow.I don't know if the RAM upgrade has anything to do with it, but it seems like it. Has it started after the upgrade. Please advice.

Hi,
My laptop came with 2gb RAM installed and I'd like to upgrade to 8Gb if possible. Even though I've read everywhere that this laptop only supports DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500), I'd like to know if it will take DDR3 1333 as well. All other laptops that I've seen with this processor (dell, hp, etc) can take either type, but I'don't know if the Lenovo can do it as well, since sometimes I see specials on DDR3 1333 that I could buy if the laptop will take them.
Thanks!

standard memory: 2 gb (removable) or 4 gb (removable)
maximum memory: 4 gb using a 32-bit operating system 8 gb using a 64-bit operating system
expansion: 2 sockets
cpu & chipset: intel core i3 intel hm55
bus architecture: flash - sdhc; ssd - sata 2.5-inch; usb
mfgr's system p/n's: 0677-xxx
comments if 4gb is installed, the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5gb or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). maximum configurations require a 64-bit operating system.

according to kingston, your computer supports 8 gb with 64 bit operation system, 4 gb with 32 bit operation system.
you can upgrade 1333 mhz ram, if your mainboard doesn't support that speed, it'll downclock it to the 1066.
you can learn which chipset you have by dowloading/installing cpu-z or everest.
