So there's no solution to this issue? Would sending this unit back to service centre fix the problem?

The problem with the touchpad is the touchpad itself. Use an USB mini-mouse or something that works fine.

Hi All,
I'm sorry that some of you have returned the machine due to this touchpad issue. Anyhow, I advise you guys to contact the nearest service centre should you find the touchpad is slow in responding. They should be able to assist you.
Regards,
Cleo

i dont know how the service center will be able to fix this problem....
Will they replace the entire touchpad area ??? i really didnt expect frm lenovo like this.
I dont see any scope of improvement in this touchpad until and unless they replace it with the std touchpad which has 2 buttons at the bottom.
I may be wrong... please advice

I bought lenovo G460 yesterday in Thailand. After install Win7-64bit and all complete of driver, the touchpad is slow and 2 button clicks work no good when click. example problems: Double click didn't open program, or Select click didn't select. it just repeats to click many time for working.
I would like someone in Thailand to fix this issued. Please let me the contact point in Lenovo (Thailand)

got it to work...if you notice the dots on your touch pad those are the sensors...
if you use two fingers it stops working...
try putting your finger on the sensors around the white lines for left or right mouse button....
though i haven't figured out how to use my scroll... anyone?
