What a bad laptop (touch pad)..I paid 15% restock charges to get rid of this bad laptop..Lenovo admits that there have been complaints about this laptop and they are doing nothing.
There should be class action against this touch pad issue and everyone should get to return defective product.
This company is not dell or HP. This a non- customer friendly company with inefficient customer service..

G460 and G560 are the worst laptop models ever seen before. Lenovo should take out the market and give to users a brand new unit.

When IBM sell this division (Lenovo) to the chinese, the quality of the "basis line" laptops are awful.
I don't understand why still producing gargabe. And the sad thing is that this kind of laptops are buyed by people who lives in countries where accessing to the tecnology it's a little harder (because the monetary gap between local currency and dolar/euro currency).

Of course. It was lucky enough not to buy this one and to go for Thinkpad Edge 14 which had only some problems resolved with some BIOS updates. However the support is worse. I didn't get answer to any of my doubts in this forum. Earlier I was a fan of Lenovo. But I'll go for Toshiba next time I purchase a laptop.

This company is a cheat. They know that their touchpad is faulty, but they want to charge you 15% restocking fee for a defective product. They say that this product is working as per the design. Well, the DESIGN is bad, so why should we pay the re-stocking fee. I had T-61 from Lenovo, which I still love, but this is pathetic !
Please stay away from this model and better yet, go to dell as they are better in customer service. Before contacting lenovo, I used to say dell costomer care stinks, but lenovo has changed my perspective.
Lenovo is the real stink.
There should be some penalty for cheating customers like this.
Please follow my advice, STAY AWAY !!!!

Hi All,
As i have mentioned earlier, please contact the nearest service centre should you find the touchpad is slow in responding. They should be able to assist you. My sister owns G460 too and so far so good mainly she uses external mouse more often. Anyway, I'll get her to visit service centre for touchpad change even though she rarely use it.
Hope this helps. ![]()

Yes, but I supposed that your sister pays for the entire machine (not a machine without a touchpad).
G460/G560 family are THE WORST PRODUCTS EVER MADE.

All,
Cleo has responded and we are willing to look into the concerns posted here, but at the moment we need more to go on other than general complaints over touchpad responsiveness.
As you continue to post, please provide the following information.
1) Note what model G460 or G560 you have - confirm you are running the preload Windows 7? Can you share the sub-model of the system? This will help us see if there is a particular model or configuration we should examine.
2) Explain exactly what the touchpad is doing - is it skipping? Are you having to press too hard? Do the buttons not click, etc. Please be specific.
3) Does this occur on battery or on AC? When does it occur?
4) What setting changes have you made in the touch panel control panel? Have any setting changes improved the results.
5) What is the easiest way to re-create the behavior you are observing?
Thanks
Mark
