HI,
I have Lenovo B570e notebook with 8GB RAM(2x4GB). I want to update its flash. I am unable to find latest BIOS update from Lenovo site. My BIOS version is 9/22/2011 and SMBIOS ver is 2.6.
One of my colleague has Lenovo G570 and has 16GB and BIOS version 2.7(10/07/2011). What is main difference between Lenovo G570 and Lenovo B570e?. Can I upgrade my ram to 16GB. My colleague notebook shows 6GB in BIOS while in OS it shows 16GB.How come????
Furthermore, Does Lenovo b570e support 1TB HDD with 10,000 RPM??

There seems not to be any BIOS update for your laptop model available. You can not and should not install bios upgrades from other laptop models.
B570e datasheet indicates that it supports 8 GB max. While this seems to be max memory supported it is well known that lenovo tends to underreport max possible memory. Bear in mind that if you use more than 8 GB, this configuration will not be supported in case you have stability issues.
As far as HDD goes, as far as I know the only 10K RPM models are SAS drives. You will not be able to utilize all their features in laptop. Further more 10K rpm 2,5" drives are enterprise models that cost close to the price of premium laptop.
Yes, you can get Velociraptop 2.5" SATA model, but it's thermal requirements would melt laptop's plastic case...

Great!
If you read Data Sheet of Lenovo G570, you will come across similar memory limitation like B570e but when G570 installed with 16 GB RAM, it did show 6GB in BIOS but in 64-bit OS, it shows complete 16GB!!!...amazing..
i think i need to give it a try by installing 8GB module to check if it scales up beyond 8 GB...

Any update on that front?
I'm decided to upgrade my RAM, and 8GB modules sound great but don't want to waste my money...
