Re: Lenovo y410 sound problem

1)Well, can't take the point.
What's it? Are you complaining at the Ugly Picture of Soun Volume?
Or what?

2) Try updating drivers for chipset/video, also update Windows via Windows Update - maybe the problem'll be solved.

Re: Lenovo y410 sound problem

1.Got the point... Sorry, can't help - I think it depends on hotkey drivers...
2.Ok, waiting. By the way - try turning off automatic reboot on windows hung-up. Write down the BSOD error nomber and post here. Also try updating the game and testing your memory.

Re: Lenovo y410 sound problem

I looked at your picture from the earlier post.

The X through the speaker image -- it means you have muted the sound.

On the Y410, the mute button is located to the right of the power button.

Re: Lenovo y410 sound problem

Hi check your Y410 Manual on the ORDER of INSTALLATION of the drivers. I may sound weird But if you don't install in that particular order your modem driver and sound driver will mix up. The EZ button may also be affected. This may give you the trouble of installing the system all over again. But personaly, I can say its worth it.

On the DOTA crash. I believe its a map problem unless you see on the error report that it was the sound driver.

To  fix the sound driver crash problem, I went to the RealTek Audio Site and installed the latest XP driver and I didn't have errors on my sound card except for the occasional memory errors from DOTA, which I encounter on a DELL, and HP Desktops. So basically its not system specific.
