I believe my OS (WinXPHomeSP3) has become corrupted. Unit frequently has to be manually powered off because windows does not complete the shut down. Have had strange color change where some of the white parts of images have been changed to bright yellow; some of that can be changed back through Display. So I think it might be time to reinstall winXP. However, I never made a set of recovery CDs (didn't realize the unit had that capability). My question is, if I make a set now, and the OS is corrupted, will I have the same issues after the reinstall?? I'm sure the answer is yes, but...
Also, when that set of cds are burned, will they include all the lenovo bundled software that originally came with the unit or am I going to lose all of that??
Thanks for your help. JoeD 20101110

Do you think it would be worth the time and effort to burn a set of recovery cds at this point in time or just order a new set from Lenovo?? Thanks, JoeD 20101110

Burn them! If the process fail, just order a recovery disk set from Lenovo.
Best regards.
