Mobile-Broadband with Lenovo B560 / SIM-Card equipped / no reaction if SIM-Card pushed in

Dear Forum

I've byued brandnew a lenovo B560 - a quiet good priced Notebook.

But now i am trying to connect to internet with my mobile Higspeed broadband SIM, and do not find a way to do that!

The Notebook is equipped with a SIM-Card-Slot-In and throug this Slot i can see some golden conectors.

But if i turn on the wireless-functionality with [Fn]+[F5] i just can see the WLAN-Card on/off switch.

Even the installation of ReadyComm 5 did not solve my probs.

On my Notebook is Win7 home premium with the normal standard-setup, no changes.

Is there something I have not taken?

I appreciate every help, thank you in advance!

Hello mate,

It's not because you have a sim card reader that you have a modem installed inside.

If your laptop is wwan ready, it comes with the sim card reader and the antenna installed and that's it.

If you can't see the wwan modem in the Fn+F5 menu it's most likely because you don't have a modem.

Have a look there to see if you have a wwan modem or not : http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/configuration/configuration.html

as vince69 said, your computer comes with wireless adapter only if you haven't ordered the one with mobile-brand supported.
check if you have wwan card.
