I updated yesterday to 3.05. Frankly I don't see any change in the fan behaviour (was supposed to adress fan noise at low temperatures). Maybe the 25-30C in Haifa, Israel not low enough :-) .Anyhow, so far so good...

i don't have windows installed on laptop at the moment so am asking y'all kindly if there has been an update to enable "non-PNP OS" in new BIOS?

p.s. what is the best way to get in contact with lenovo regards this problem as not a peep from any of the staff on this forum

 machine is still under warranty ... what would it take for lenovo to do this?  seems a reasonable request. ...probably easier to ebay laptop and find more suitable product
