Hello all out there,
the background for my question is this thread,
My message posted 11-02-2008 01:27 AM.
After talking to Lenovo Germany (ended up in Scotland) yesterday and today, the above Bios Version seems to be unknown within Lenovo.
Nevertheless, while googling for 68ET37WW, some links of users having it appear.
So my question is, is there anybody out there having this Bios Version in their Notebook? Mainly 3000 N200 Versions?
If so, I would be interested in receiving model number in the format XXXX-XXX, most probably it only applies to 0769-xxx versions.
As well it would be interesting to know if those that report this, also include if they receive the same Bios Version reporting out of Lenovo Tool Box (PC-Doctor), as mine reports Bios Version 0.55 68ET37WW.
Thank you all for your feedback!

Don't know about the new 3.05 version (running on 3.03) but you can flash with supplied
utility, WinPhlash, older versions over newer ones. Just in Advanced Settings unmark the
option "Flash only if BIOS version is newer than system". To get to Advanced Settings,
you have to edit the Phlash.ini. It is all explained in the accompanying Help

What model are you using?
Do you have PC-Doctor or Lenovo System Toolbox installed? If yes, what Bios Version are they reporting?
Is your machine reporting 68ET35WW V 3.03 at F1 start-up? If not, what does it report?
I can backup my present Bios with WinPhlash before rolling-back to the supposed old version but how do I flash the previous version, 3.05 again, should something go wrong? I is only saved as bios.bak, not *.rom or so?

3000 N200 0769-A9U with 68ET35WW v. 3.03. Everywhere is 3.03 version shown, except
in Lenovo System Toolbox where it is v. 0.53...
The saved BIOS with xxxxx.bak extension is simply renamed to xxxxx.rom I suppose.
I have never done that since it was never needed. The thing that is confusing for me
is that original xxxxx.rom has always 1.087.114 bytes, and backup xxxxx.bak has
always 1.087.087 bytes. The missing 27 bytes are a bit confusing for me ![]()

Sorry, I cannot help you as that was exactly my point.. why I did not "up-date" (downgrade?) my Bios...
The Suspend issue might well be OS related.

Well, strange, as if that is the case, further postings of this model with this Bios should arise.
Have you tried an all fresh installation of your OS? I assume Win XP.

I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 0769-ENG that i bought for 1 month ago.
CPU-Z reports Bios version 68ET37WW date 07/29/2008.
Here is the bios.bak http://www.maxishare.net/en/file/10347/bios6des-ba
BTW: I have not tested the bios.bak.
Does scrolling with the toucpad work on your laptop? I have no options for it with the lenovo driver, and the touchpad stops working with the drivers postet on synaptics website.
