My keyboard does not control the player in my games.

I have a Lenovo G550. I was playing America's Army 3 on Steam(A game service run by Valve) when all of a sudden I could not control my player. I assumed that it was a bug in AA3 and moved on to Minecraft where the same thing happened. This has to be something with my keyboard, but I'm not sure. Just in case, I reset to factory conditions and redid the games. Same problem. I run windows 7 on this computer. Thank you in advance.

Sounds more like a software issue, especially if it works fine everywhere else. Could you be triggering an input language change by accidentally hitting Ctrl+Shift or Ctrl+Space?

I'm not sure. How would I go about fixing this change?

press shift key for 5 times then easy access windows will show up. disable the feature.

by the way, do you have guid application installed?

Yes. It keeps on starting from 1 when I hit any key

IE

any letters=123456789

how many language(s) you are using? ( check language bar )
if you installed more than one, try to remove other options and try again. also, please, provide the version of bios you have.
