N200 DVD-problems

Hello,

I have a problem with my N200 DVD player.

It plays CDs just fine. It plays older DVD-movies not exceeding 90 minutes just fine. It plays DVD9, that is, copy-protected

DVDs with great difficulty or not at all. Movies longer than 2 hours? No chance!

What could the problem be? And how do I go about solving it? Do I have to buy an external DVD-drive?

dvd9 discs are one-sided, double layer recordable dvds.

if your dvd rom doesn't support dual layer dvd, there's nothing you can do.

check your manual that if your dvd supports dvd9 ( dual layer )

Hello,

It does play DVD-9 occasionally - after 7 or 8 attempts if I am pateient and lucky. So it is not a question of

compatatibility.

Will an external DVD-drive do the trick for me?

can you post the brand and model of your dvdrom?

external dvd player should work but have you tried to use another media player for dvd9?

maybe it is just codec or media player issue.

have you tried another dvd9? maybe the dvd is broken.
