N500 Optical drive will not burn DVD's

When I try to burn a DVD +R with the internal Optiarc DVDRW DL in my N500, the drive acts like it is trying to read the disc and then ejects it and asks for a disc. I have tried several discs, each with the same result. I was able to burn DVD's from the same spindle with no problems on other machines.

The drive reads DVD's and will burn a CD.

Any clues as to what could be done to fix it?

If it's not fixable, can I get a replacement DVD drive. I cannot find one on the Lenovo parts and accessories web pages.

try to burn -dvds or just try to burn different +dvd brand.

i am having the same problem and have tried that but no effect its still the same...however i had this problem before and it came right somehow....any other ideas?
