I recently purchased a G570 to be used as a Dual Booting Hackintosh (10.7.2 Lion & Windows). Unfortunately the laptop came with the infamous BCM4313 wireless card. I need to whitelist the card, but in order for me to do this I need a copy of the actual BIOS. Does anyone know where I can download the latest BIOS v2.11 40CN25WW? I know on the actual Lenovo website there is a v2.09 available for download, Thanks!

Hi
I also need a fixed bios too for my g470 , btw I can help on testing upcomimg release
if some developers can read me , please double check about DSDT's TNOT symbol ,
and try to compile that DSDT using aisl and look at errors/warnings ...
If you wanna improve those ACPI table feel free to contact me here or on my notes page :
About 40CN25WW(V2.11) after some investigations
it looks that this one is not comming from the same channel as 2.09- ,
may this be a moded bios
(some thread here talks about it but I wanted to make sure it is safe and warranty compliant) ...

I'm sure the BIOS (v2.11) is warranty compliant since some G470/G475/G570/G575's came with this Bios from factory. It looks like this BIOS was originally for the IdeaPAD (Lenovo in China) and we are now getting this BIOS shipped with all new Lenovo(s) here in the states. Can a Moderator please add more to this story or point me when this download will be available.

Hey Thanks Bananaman1, but it looks like your .rar file contains version 2.10. What I need is version 2.11 (built date 9-28-2011) Thanks
It's been a few days since I posted this & I know this is a community forum, but where are all the moderators when you need them? A ftp site or something. Maybe they are as clueless as I am.

Where did 40CN24WW come from ?
Maybe you can backup that BIOS on several system and compare them to see if they are generic or not ...
BTW I am looking for a changelog of latest versions ...
Last but not least you can download some archive of that bios on some asia forum if you're able to register
but It's not the official and trustworthy way ... good luck
@lenovo, is it possible to brick our device when flashing those user provided firmware ? then how to recover it ?

Decided to take the laptop back. Thou it looked like a great product and I had no issues with reliabilty. Customer Service is horrible when it comes to the "Advanced users" of Lenovo products.

I was able to roll back to 2.09 but I'm not sure I backed up correctly. Problem still occurs with 2.09 so I guess I'm stuck with the rest of you guys.
This bin file appeared when I tried to back up. If this isnt the right file let me know and I'll see if I have it: http://www.mediafire.com/?2ant55oub3rwzan

the file you uploaded at
http://www.mediafire.com/?2ant55oub3rwzan
is the same as :
G470G570/BIOS/40CN23WW(V2.09)/40CN23WW(V2.09)/PIWG
md5=fc75a4f08ceacf3f7eaf97e4fdd099ab
So now you can't revert to later one ?
Where to find BIOS 2.14 ?
