Hi,
The battery on my Lenovo 3000 Y200 (Winnie the Pooh) laptop no longer holds a charge.
The power icon indicates: "0% available (plugged in, charging)", and says that way forever. If the power cord is pulled off the laptop, the machine dies.
So, I bought a new battery, and received it today.
I replaced the 0% battery with the new battery. The power icon showed 24%.
I disconnected the power plug to see if the battery will work, and it worked okay, only it dropped to 9% within 10 minutes.
I replaced the power plug, and now this is what I see:
The power icon shows charging for two cycles, and then it changes to "9% available (plugged in, not charging)", if I pull the power plug off and replace it, again - I get 2 seconds of charging, and again the charging stops.
Can you venture a guess what is going on ?
Thanks,
Ron.
