Firstly, if your laptops have the Western Digital hard drives, 500Gb @ 5400rpm, i'd replace them with another brand.

I have had two near new hard drives cause issues and crash. I am happily using a Patriot Pyro SSD in one and a Seagate Momentus XT 500Gb in the other.

Secondly I have heard many complaints about IE9 causing issues (including BSOD's) also, I have not "upgraded" from IE8 and do not have these issues others have.

Hi cornerstone,

This thread points to the AHCI driver, but I also found that some of your crashes could be due to the AV program, IE9, or a combination of one or more. 

Maybe try a different browser and see if it happens, and maybe try MSE and see if it happens.

That thread also points to a different diagnostic program for crashes because it says that the one that I gave you sometimes blames the OS when it isn't.  Like for instance, your system32 crash.
