Hi,
I have a new g530, I used it maybe 20 times, original Windows 7 Home Prem, I didn't change any drivers all original.
this morning I turn on and no internet, I checked wifi "no connection available" , it has Broadcom b/g wifi,
checked the switch is ON,
wireless connection is enabled,
I disable/enabled wifi with the switch
I disabled enabled in network center
I booted in Linux mint 9 to see if the windows drivers are bad
I got same problem, installed thedriver but could not connect to internet
anyone has suggestion thatnks

Maybe you have a disconnected anthena. But, if your machine is new, call customer support to solve this.

iPnaSh,
I checked the antena on the back, both cables are connected to the broadcom chip.
uhhhh looks like I am going to have to call them, I hate it.

no go,
I called them, it's a @#@$ nightmare, they kept telling me that I called the wrong department, I need to call thinkpad, thinkpad says they don't support G530, I need to call the main number, back and forth like 4 times,
these are the number I called:
877-4536686
800-4267378
877-453-6686 none of these support my g530
