Problem with Fn+F3

I use my Lenovo 3000 G400 with a Toshiba DLP projector for my presentations.  I had no problem doing this until recently: the projector says "No signal" even if i keep pressing the key combination of Fn+F3.

 

I tried running Windows XP in safe mode and the problem did not occur.  When i run XP in normal mode the problem recurs.

 

Please help me resolve this problem.
