Hi,
I have lenovo 3000 N100 notebook and I want to upgrade the ram. Does this notebook support 2Gb (2x1Gb) ram? Or maximum how much Gb does it support?
And one more question..
my processor is T2400 1.83Ghz and ram is 1Gb DDR2 667 Mhz
if I upgrade the ram to 2Gb, can I get better performance? or do you think that 2Gb doesn't make so much different with T2400 cpu?
Thanks...

have no idea what happened, the browser that i had use must have some major problems.
anyway..
Installing ram is pretty easy, there is an access bay on the bottom of the case for the ram, just remove the access bay door by unscrewing couple of screws then installing the required ram module.
The Intel Chipset used in your N100 should be able to handle a maxmium of 3 gig ram.
While, 2 gig of ram should be enough for most of the things under XP, but if you are planning to run Vista then it is advisable to have 3 gig of ram installed.
On the CPU note of things, the T2400 is Core Duo Processor with level 2 cache of 2 mb running at 1.83 ghz, which for most 32 bit application it is the same as the T5600 Core 2 Duo Santa Rosa 1.83 ghz cpu. My thinkpad x60 is a Core Duo T2400 CPU, my thinkpad T60 is a Core 2 Duo T5600 both of them run XP pro, for most apps they ran at the same speed.
If you want to upgrade your CPU then then anything in the following list will be okay:
Core 2 Duo T5xxx, T7xxx
Core Duo T2xxx

TY for your help! I went across the street to data docters as well, they found me a great deal on 2GBx2 kits.
Apperently I can take about 4 GB! <3
