I bought my 3000 N100 about 13 months ago and now this occurred:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/documen
It says that "Replacement Program ended in October 2008 " so I can't replace my battery any more ???
How I was supposed to know for that issue last year when my laptop worked fine ???
What about
"Lenovo will replace eligible batteries (FRU 92P1186) with this failure symptom for an additional 6-months (total of 18-months) based on the system warranty start date. "
from the same article ??? - I'm still within 18 months based on the system warranty start date!
Is it fair that the customer have to pay for an evident error made by Lenovo ?

I aggree completly. I had the same problem about a year and a half ago. I contacted them and they told me my computer was out of warranty and they wouldn't help me. I was so frustrated and upset I put my laptop in a bag and didn't use it for a year or so. Recently I pulled it out and began researching it again and find out they had a recall on the battery and it would have fixed the problem but I missed out on it. I think they should have contacted me since it was registered.
