Users name display twice

I have lenovo 3000 N 100 0768-HCQ

On march 14 2008 I take my computer to original factory settings because advice given by IBM customer care.After that windows updates were downloaded and installed automatically.

But after this three users names are display twice.

Please help me to solve this problem.

I have had this problem before, and it seems to be related to Softex Omnipass.

Uninstall Omnipass, then reinstall it to remove the duplicated user icon.

On a different note, grab the Lenovo N200 fingerprint reader software for seamless integration with Vista. It'll work with your N100 Authentec fingerprint reader. It's also much faster to recognise your fingerprint. The only drawback is that you won't be able to store passwords for programs and web pages as you could with Omnipass.

i had smae problem and i solvet by removing the software

I uninstall omnipass,then after restarting username displayed only once but fingerprint logo is not displayed on top of screen with user names.After this i want to reinstall it but application file for omnipass is removed in uninstallation.So i used system restore.Because of this now user name displayed twice.How to reinstall omnipass?

You will not be able to reinstall Omnipass because Lenovo does not supply the setup files. It is possible to "retrieve" the setup files using certain methods, but it is not advisable to do so.

I do recommend that you try the Lenovo Fingerprint Software, since I believe it is much better than the Omnipass software in terms efficiency and integration.
