another usb problem

And yet another usb problem for a lenovo laptop. I have a 3000 N100 lenovo laptop. I have had this since 2007 December. The laptop is 1 and a half year old. The laptop has not been misused in any way nor used the usb plugs frequently. Can someone help me? Please and Thank You.

Look closely at the 28-Jun-2007,v3.12 BIOS upgrade.
