This is not good. No CMOS battery or CMOS / BIOS reset jumper to use. Factory / Lenovo staff absolutely no help. No masterpassword for the BIOS provided. No help on providing a copy of the service manual via email.
Lenovo staff generally clueless and unhelpful.
Bad company to deal with. Round and Round and Round in CIRCLES for ever.
I am told that according to "them" the only option is to send the laptop back, for them to throw out the motherboard and put in a new one - charging me almost the same price as a new laptop.
Being a lawyer, - I say Law Suit.
So either post me a mater password to my email address because I will exercise my legal skills and shred this company and advertise it all over the web.
Me vs. Lenovo / IBM

Hi,
Sorry that you have forgotten your Power On Password!
There is no master BIOS password. That would largely defeat the purpose of BIOS passwords.
You might try the procedure to reset just the Power On Password at the bottom of this support site page for ThinkPads.
The manuals for your G570 are here.
Hope this helps!
