s-video makes mouse lagging extremely both vista and linux

Hi, I've got a Lenovo 300 n200, a little more than a month old.
Insetting an svideo cable, connected to a television, that is turned on, makes the mouse lagging extremely.

It's like the the mouse is being double clicked all the time, (text being marked just by moving mouse over).

The problem exists in vista, and also ubuntu linux.
I've tried reinstalling the system from the recovery partition.
I've installed vista from the the system restore dvd's that I orded from support.

Does anyone have an idea about what could be causing this?
Should I return the otherwise functioning laptop back to the store?

hi,
I checked my s-video out functionality in Vista with "Logitech VX Nano" amouse and everything seems OK.
The problem you mentioned occures on all your USB sockets? Did you tried another mouse?

I haven't tried with an external mouse.
The problem I have, is related to the touchpad.
Have you tried your touchpad?

Somehow the problem solved itself,
and I don't really know why.

But I think when I change to the proper format pal b, then the lagging stopped.

Can you help on how did you connect the S-Video to the TV. I am having difficulties doing it.
