I am trying to run factory settings recovery om my 3000J (XP) from the four (4) DVD set I made when I purcashed the system four years ago. It ran the first (Start Up) disc in drive D (the only cd/dvd drive) then asked for the next disc to be put in drive G. IWhen I put the 2nd disc in drive D it says "wrong disc". I can not proceed further and can not get back to windows. It is basically saying "drive G or shut up and shut down"!!!
HELP!!!~

Dave, welcome to the forum,
we need a little more information; how are the discs labeled? Hopefully you labeled them as instructed when you created them.
After booting from the first disc, the boot disc, which options are you choosing? Restore to image or restore to factory?
Exactly what is the wording of the message requesting you to insert the second disc?
Thanks
Andy

The discs are labeled as I was instructed when I burned them:
1) Recovery Start Up
2) Disc 1 "C"
3) Disc 2 "C"
4) Disc 3 "C"
It is my intention to recover to original factory settings -- that is the option I choose in the R & R Menu.
The messages I am now getting are as follows:
I ran the first disc "Recovery Start Up" with seemingly no problems. After it ran the message:
If you have a "Product Supplemental Disc" please insert it into drive "G" now and press Yes, otherwise press No. (the CD/DVD drive is D).
I then inserted disc #2 ( Disc 1 "C") into drive D , pressed Yes and the following message appeared:
This is not the correct disc. Please remove the disc and press OK. I
I did that and the message came: Insert Recovery Start Up disc in drive G and press Yes. I did so and it said \: This is not the correct disc. When I remove the disc and press OK the monitor goes off (no signal)
From there it is just an endless circle.

You need to click on "no" see here as you do not have a supplemental disc.
Let us know what happens

Andy,
It says to "Insert Product Recovery Disc 1"
I recieved NO discs with the unit -- I bured the four that I have as per the Lenovo instructions.
I have one labled "Recovery Start UP" which I was instructed to run first, and the three labled "C".
It matters not which disc I pu in at this point, the same message for all: incorrect dsc.

When it asks for the supplemental disc, what does it ask for when you click on no instead of yes? It should ask you to insert the first recovery disc.
