I am setting up several Lenovos with SimpleTap in a business environment. Each laptop will be used by several different users. I want all of them to see a common set of tiles. If possible I'd like them to be able to add their own but not delete the core set. I've read the Deployment Guide but still have a few questions.
1. I can find the custom tiles in the user app data folder but can't find the config file for the layout or for the default tiles. According to the Deployment Guide the default tiles are in C:\program files\lenovo\simpletap\xml. But that folder does not exist. (it's not hidden nor is it in the x86 program folder or the programdata folder).
2. How do you change the name on a Custom Tile? I can create a tile from a favorite but the tile name is the URL rather than the shortcut name. I've tried changing the name in the XML and changing the name of the XML file but neither has any impact. I assume there is a XML tag but I don't know what it is.
Has anyone done anything similar?

When you create custom tiles from within SimpleTap, they are stored in the "%appdata%\Lenovo\SimpleTap" folder. If you want to make the custom tile available for all users, move the files to the "%programdata%\Lenovo\SimpleTap".
The custom layout information (e.g. position of the tile on the screen) comes from the registry "HKCU\Software\Lenovo\SimpleTap\Add-ons\$user".
I don't know how to change the name of the custom tile. If it's a website, then the name of the tile is the URL of the website. There does not appear to be any way to change this.

In response to #2...if you double click on the tile name, not the tile itself, you can edit it.
In the image below the "Expense Reports" tile name is in edit mode.
