SimpleTap on new W520

Hi,

I just took delivery on a new W520. It came with SimpleTap preinstalled. I can start it by double tapping the touchpad. I can not get it to work by touching the tiles via the latop screen. Is there something wrong or is this how it is suppose to work with this model of laptop?

The W520 doesn't have any touchscreen, so touching the screen will not cause anything to happen.

Thank you. So does that mean there is no advantage to have simpletap on the w520?

You can still use SimpleTap with a mouse or the touchpad.  Whether that is useful to you or not, it's up to you to decide.

I hope Lenovo releases touch screens for some of their recent models like the W520 when Windows 8 is released.

Simple Tap is pointless. It's just a stupid set of tiles that runs as an overlay. I can't believe that Lenovo is making a big deal out of this crappy application.

My W520 shipped with this crap installed and it's a distraction.
