Can't install Ubuntu

Hi

I just got my new Ideacentre A310 all-in-one desktop.

I never intended to use the pre-installed OS, so I booted the system, read the MS-license-agreement and re-booted with my Ubuntu 10.10 live-USB.

Now something strange didn't happen. The live-USB was recognized, and started booting, bus then the screen just went blank, and the keyboard went unresponsive. I tried again, and I tested the live-USB on my old laptop - and I'm still stuck.

Can anyone explain why this happens? And point to the solution of the problem?

what's your usb drive capacity?
try to use small ones if you have more than 4gb capacity.

the drive I'm using is only 2gb

some of usb drivers doesn't work for usb boot.
if you have another brand/model or usb, please try again. or just burn the dvd to install ubuntu.

I just tried with a 4gb Kingston drive - same result.

There's no CD/DVD drive in the Lenovo Ideacentre.

Yes I did.
This is far from the first time I create a live-USB. I'm sure it's done correctly - and I've tested the drives on my old pc.

Problem solved.
I created my live-USB with UNetbootin instead of Ubuntus detault Startup Disk Creater. And my new PC is now up and running.
For some reason SDC did something wrong for this particular situation (it works fine for my old HP-laptop and my Acer-netbook).
