Freebsd-8 on ThinkPad Edge 14

Hi,

I am planning to buy ThinkPad Edge 14 Intel® Core™ i5-430M Processor ( 2.26GHz 1066MHz ).

From Freebsd-8.0 i am not able to figure it out, I like to make sure Freebsd-8.0 support it. Can anybody help me on this?

Lenovo does not provide support to linux officically,but most of the distros do work out of the box.It also depends on the graphics chipset your system might be having.If you are open to other options I would suggest you to go with Ubuntu,Fedora or  SuSE Linux.Are you particularly looking for a distro which is 100% Posix friendly?
