So far I have Ubuntu 12.04 as my secondary OS. It is working quite good, with Bumblebee installed the Nvidia card is being shut off when not used.
The only significant thing that isn't working is the fingerprint reader.
`lsusb`: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 147e:2020 Upek
So according to most informaiton I've searched for, there is no existing software that supports this fingerprint reader, isn't it?
Does Lenovo have support on it?

lenovo does not support Linux and so does not provide drivers

Well, 147e:2020 isn't listed on the list, so I suppose the opensource driver doesn't work? The UPEK's proprietry ones seems to be too old...
Thanks for your suggestions anyway.

There used to be a piece of software in the repositories called Thinkfinger, for this purpose. I do not know if it will help with your particular reader, however. Here's some information: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_enable_the_in
I would recommend checking in your Software Center or in Synaptic for anything with the words "IBM" or "Lenovo" or "thinkpad" or "fingerprint". I usually find what I need by doing that, assuming I have more than just the main repository enabled. Note: I do not use Ubuntu anymore, but the packages I found have/have had Ubuntu versions.

As I found in fingerprint forum, the problem is waiting updated driver from upec for device 147e:2020
