Webcam on linux..

[ Edited ]

I'm using a Y410 with OpenSUSE11.0, it is supporting my webcam, very well and in a better manner than on Windows...

As you have said nothing about the linux distribution you are using, I suggest you go for OpenSUSE11.0 and hopefully your webcam should work fine..

Hope this help you pal..

The webcam software used in Open SUSE11.0, is 'CHEESE', it should be available for other distributions as well...

I am using a T400 and the webcam is supported by the 'uvcvideo' kernel module.

I tested it on kernel-2.6.27, it might be supported by even older kernel releases too.
